Guide service - Ottertail

5 posts in this topic

My most recent post was info on Clitherall Lake info. However I was also interested in fishing Ottertail for walleye for the first time . Does anyone have any leads on a guide service for OT or area lake . Any help with names , phone #s and if possible rates would be greatly appreciated .

Thanks & good luck to all !!!

What about Ross out of Ken's Bait? I heard he is one of the best. Really knows the lake.

Thanks guys for your help on that . We'll be up tomorrow afternoon in Battle Lake area anyway . I'm not sure if I can get someone locked in before leaving to come up . I suppose I can do some calling and asking around there as well .

Thanks again & Good luck to all!!

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
