Fishing Report Clubs - LIMITED MEMBERSHIP - Join Today - FREE   01/24/2018

Fishing Minnesota had added a new menu item (see above) called Fishing Report Clubs. It's a way to keep the really good fishing reports coming and being shared only with those who also provide detailed fishing reports. We will only approve new members who request to join if they have already posted a recent fishing report in the area forum, associated with the Fishing Report Club area  you want to join. We are going to limit the number of regular memberships, in the Fishing Report Clubs, to the top 20  members in each Club, to those with the best frequency and quality fishing reports provided in the club and less so in the regular fishing report forum open to all members. The higher quality fishing report reserved for the club of course. If  you want fishing reports  around your area, I would Join Now, some of the clubs are starting to fill fast. Use the Fishing Reports Club link in the Menu above (after you've posted a fishing report in the regular area forum) and request to Join.

****SOLD**** 2003 Lund Fisherman ITS $22,500/BO/Trade 4 Smaller

Tweebowzer

I bought this boat new in July of 2004. It is exactly what I wanted, and more, but unfortunately, I just feel bad watching it just sit there with no time to take it out. I put in Hour meters for the engines at the beginning of last season, and racked up a whole 9 on the stern drive and 6 on the 15 HP Kicker.

Click 2003 Lund Fisherman ITS to see pictures

Most of the pictures will explain everything that I have on the boat, and I will try to explain in a short list most everything,

2003 15 HP Mercury with Elec Start, trim/tilt, 4-stroke

2004 Minn Kota 65PD with built in transducer

2004 Minn Kota 24V on board charger w/2 deep cycle batteries

Removable Bow Cushions

4 flush mount, 2 Rail mounts for rod holders (4 actual rod holders

Thanks. I know I'll hate to see it go, and so will my 3yr old. But it just doesn't get used enough.

I think I forgot to mention that the trailer is a 2005 Shorelander trailer, surge brakes, with electronic back-up release, spare tire and mount. I towed it with a Dakota pickup and never got nervious hauling it around.

or check http://mynewhome.org/john_j_kneisl_065.htm first, whatever set works for you. I love the boat, but am willing to let it go. A reasonable offer, A Look (I will tow it to you within reasonable distance) a trade for a smaller flat bottom boat with decent side rails and some $$, This boat was meant for some real water, Mille lacs, Lake of the Woods, Winnie, Superior, I know,...I can't get to them like i thought I would, I hope u can, I can get there to sell it!

Thanks! Wanna buy it?? Make me an offer, come take a look! I moved it to do the lawn today, and there was a spider web with babies along the fenders. I have only moved it to take care of the lawn since starting the motors 3 weeks ago to make sure everything is in working condition. I did turn over the motors today for a buyer, and everything still turns over and works. He said "awefully clean", and that he plans to get back to me. I'd rather see it bought and used rather than sitting in storage untill (5yrs as I see it) I can take my children out fishing with a chance to fish myself.

This Boat is now sold. I had a great time dealing with fellow FM'ers. I have now bought and sold through this site, and I cannot say enough nice things about everyone I dealt with through this process. I think all FM'ers are pretty straight forward and honest people, and would only look forward to meeting more.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you raise the front seat mount to be flush with the sides (where you had those cushions)? confused.gif

Smitty

That's Lund's ProDeck feature. With a couple spring loaded pins you can either raise or lower the front deck/pedestal.

The custions were snap-in. And very easily removable. Just like the previous comment, it was a couple of pins on each side that slid out, and then you could pull back on the base, lift it up, and push it in at the higher level, and re-install the pins. 10-15 seconds of effort. It did take a little muscle as everything was built very "tight" fitting.

Thanks! Figured it out the other night after seeing your pics. The salesguy never went over that with us, so it just always seemed strange that the seat post would be so low... shocked.gifwink.gif

Hey @jlang_04, i'm looking to take my kids down that area and was curious how's the ice for a 3/4 ton with a ice castle 8x24. I'm sure the ice is thick enough but I also know some lakes are aerated or have current and the ice can be soft in some spots. So I just want to be safe with my family. Also, how's the fishing down there?  Thanks, Justin

Up until about seven or eight years ago we were on Head-o-lakes bay. Minimal to no Rustys. Just the old school guys with the big blue boxer-mit claws. We were seeing rounded gobies.  We're on Frazer now. Wow! It's indescribable how many of those buggers there are. We've been trying to do our part by having frequent crawfish boils. Haven't made a dent but fun and tasty to try.

will definitely be hunting turkeys again this year.  Love chasing these birds. Intend to go the archery route this year for the first time.  I have 2 kids that always are excited every year, until a couple of early mornings wain thier enthusiasm!  Figuring archery will allow me go on those days the kids dont want to wake up and I think I have something figured out.  Hope my skills will be up to the challenge.

I've had very good luck with them also. Always pick some up before heading out on the lake.

Was thinking about heading up the shore for some open water fishing. Was just wondering if their is alot of ice floating around and if not wat kind of wind would make it difficult to fish from shore? Thanks

There is a bunch of walleyes in Mille lacs and for the first time in a long time there is  bait fish for them to eat. Mille lacs is a son of a gun to fish if there is a bunch of bait for walleyes to eat. It’s still one the best walleye fisheries in the world.

Wait until open water season.  It was ranked #1 in the country for bass for a reason.  Its also ranked #6 in the nation for muskies too if you have enough patience to target them. A recent review of Mille Lacs was conducted by an independent Biologist from Lake Erie and found that what the DNR has done with that lake has been fair, accurate, and appropriate in terms of regulation/harvest/restrictions.  Course, some business owners might say otherwise but the science and data has been found to be true.

I did not draw an early season permit.  I may be able to snag a surplus season B, otherwise it will be a later season for me this spring.  The birds are getting SMART.  They have refused to listen to any calls and they are decoy shy so I haven't been using calls or decoys for a while now.  Rather, I just sit there and wait on a travel route and hope they walk within range (sort of like deer hunting I guess).  Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  Scouting is obviously important.  What has also really helped is the use of Winchester Longbeard XR ammo.  I have harvested turkeys out to 60 yards with it in recent years.
