I hope this isn't a stupid question but does anyone know of a place on mille lacs besides eddys that rents by the day that has a slip to keep the boat in. My 3 day trip the middle of June just changed to a 2 day with only one overnight ( the 14th ) and I would like to stay somewhere with a slip. Thank You very much for any info

Try calling Red Door. I know they have slips, not sure if 14th is weekend or not, but I know they do 1 night during the week. I would also try Appledoorn's, as they will load and unload your boat for you.

We've kept the big old pontoon at Terry's Boat Harbor in St Alban's Bay before and stayed at either the casino hotel or one time across the road and just North of Terry's a bit, I think something creek??? I can't remember what it's called. So that might be an option for you. The slip rental was like 10 bucks...This was like 5 years ago, who knows if he rents slips by the day now or not.

Most of our fish came on minnows under bobbers. I spooked countless fish with even subtle jigging.

Hey, Here a quick update on actual ice thickness or snow cover on trout. 14 inchs of ice pressure ridge out there. if you are  on a snowmobile if traveling fast on it watch for it. Truck or car i do not recommend on trout with pressure ridge. And yes i have been on the whitefish chain this year in truck. just not on trout. just my 2 cents

Thanks for the info everyone. And Borch that is good to know too.  I try to spend 2-3 hours looking on cedar each trip, but It's a lot of water to break down , and having only been out hardwater cattin 6 times so far I still have a lot to learn.  Generally I spend a lot of my 3 hours losing confidence and then wind up at the meth hole to catch a few .  Putting in the work is what makes it so fun once it all comes together though!
