Great Bite on South End 5/19/07

3 posts in this topic

Hi everybody good news to report for all walleye fishermen out there the south end bite is on fire. We had our launch at Hunter Winfields go out this weekend with 10 guys in the evening they stayed in one spot all night and pulled in about 100 walleyes keeping a total of 37. But that is just one report, we had guide trips and people staying here for the MTT tourny and it was hard not to catch fish. Some spots to try are Graveyard, Banana, and Otto's off the deep edges in 24-28ft of water with red gamakatsu on slip bobbers and lindy's with both leech and crawlers. Also the shallow really picks up toward sun down me and two guys fished the Islands and pulled forty in a two hour period and brought a nice limit of 12 home. The shallow reefs like Gull, Pope's, Hawkbill, Grassy, and any other water thats 8-12ft with slips and leeches. Alright thats my report for now if you need more info about Hunter Winfield's or anything else we offer call (320)676-1100

The launch must have been Friday night correct? Sat. night was 40 degrees with 25 + mph winds.
