The winners were Aaron Wells and Eric Holm of Prior Lake and Crystal with 33.41 pounds on 6 bass and 3 pike. They also had big fish of the tournament with a 13.82 pound northern. Biggest walleye of the event was 6.16 and the biggest bass was a largemouth, 4.91. The field was full with 50 boats so next year anglers will have to get their entries in early to secure a spot.

There were 29 walleye, 115 northern and 228 bass entered in for the day.

Most of our fish came on minnows under bobbers. I spooked countless fish with even subtle jigging.

I never made it out Monday was too tired from fishing Friday - sunday didn't feel like getting up early

Hey, Here a quick update on actual ice thickness or snow cover on trout. 14 inchs of ice pressure ridge out there. if you are  on a snowmobile if traveling fast on it watch for it. Truck or car i do not recommend on trout with pressure ridge. And yes i have been on the whitefish chain this year in truck. just not on trout. just my 2 cents

Thanks for the info everyone. And Borch that is good to know too.  I try to spend 2-3 hours looking on cedar each trip, but It's a lot of water to break down , and having only been out hardwater cattin 6 times so far I still have a lot to learn.  Generally I spend a lot of my 3 hours losing confidence and then wind up at the meth hole to catch a few .  Putting in the work is what makes it so fun once it all comes together though!
