Several years ago there was a slot put on the lake for walleyes.

I was wondering what those numbers were? It's been better then 10 years since I was there and I was wondering if the slot has helped that fishery?

Slot is as follows: all walleyes 16" to 19" must be immediately released.

I've only fished it a couple times so I can't really comment on whether or not fishing has improved.

I'll eat a 15 to 18 so I may as well leave her alone.

That slot takes my eaters away.

In the old days we ate those bigger fish. Now that I realise how muddy the bigger ones taste I've become much more selective on the fish I'll take.

I think I'll save on the gas and stay in my general area.

Thanks for the slot info.

Any reports? I know there was a lot of people out there. The boomsite access was already 3/4 full when I drove by at 5 AM. I'm thinking about going out of blufflands park on Friday.

Kinda cold and windy yesterday. Fish really didn't seem to mind though. Finding ggod sized fish was the goal for the afternoon. Started off in a feeding bay that has a section of deeper water in it. This deeper water is where I found all my fish. Crappies were holding tight to the weed cover around the hole, while gills were closer to the surface. It wasn't fast fishing by any means, still I managed to find some real quality pannies

I have two Vexilar transducers.    1) Thru hull/trolling motor- used.  From FL8 2) New never used, high speed.       I looked on Vexilar's site, The one's they sell say FL8 or FL18.  Checked FAQ and they look like they are interchangeable with other models???  Can text pictures-what do you have?
