What a great morning to be on the water, Hooked up with a friend this morning and we caught fish just about every place we stopped and after sorting through the mix we ended up with 6 really nice eyes in the box for the fryer, most of the fish came on crawlers in 13-22 FOW, I'll be on the river tomorrow morning bright and early, see you on the water!

Hey Walli, might be heading out in the morning. You willing to give an idea where to try? I launch out of the Bluffs.

Didn't make it out today. Had to fix our tub's faucet and clean the garage. Wifey's been on me for the garage and with the faucet not work and it being cold, figured a good time to get it done. Hopefully will be hittin' it next weekend. I saw your other post, good to know you're still on them.

Most of our fish came on minnows under bobbers. I spooked countless fish with even subtle jigging.

Hey, Here a quick update on actual ice thickness or snow cover on trout. 14 inchs of ice pressure ridge out there. if you are  on a snowmobile if traveling fast on it watch for it. Truck or car i do not recommend on trout with pressure ridge. And yes i have been on the whitefish chain this year in truck. just not on trout. just my 2 cents

Thanks for the info everyone. And Borch that is good to know too.  I try to spend 2-3 hours looking on cedar each trip, but It's a lot of water to break down , and having only been out hardwater cattin 6 times so far I still have a lot to learn.  Generally I spend a lot of my 3 hours losing confidence and then wind up at the meth hole to catch a few .  Putting in the work is what makes it so fun once it all comes together though!
