last june when i went on the izatys launch, 3 fish were caught between about 10 people, and one was a perch. $40 for nothing as i didnt get one of those fish. i think my dad was even more disappointed as it was his bday present to me. i'll be taking my 14 footer up there this year to brave the elements and get some fish on my own. bout 3 weeks till we go.

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
