48 1/4 inch pike

6 posts in this topic

I dont know if this is true but I received this picture of a 48 1/4 inch northern caught on URL over opening weekend. The best would be if Johnny heard anything or other people. The background, I cant tell very well if it is URL. other wise its a nice northern. Sorry the pic is small. It is how I got it through my email on a device.

Well my opinion is this it was warm on the opener would the guy be wearing a heavy coat and mits as in the picture? I am about 60 mi south of URL the wheather was sunny most all weekend look at the cloud cover in the pic. My opinion it was a fall caught fish from a canadian guide boat in canada

Granted the pic may be a farse although we do see mid to high forty inch pike coming out of Red. Just think of what lives out deep eating shiners as boat after boat just go around the shoreline?

LOL. The littler dirt squirt has got the hots for one that as big as he is.

He understands that quantity will be sacrificed for quality, and the only thing ya gonna show mom is a pic.

I tell him he's gotta boldly go where no man has gone before.

I was up there about ten days ago and the snow and lake ice were melting fast.
The forecast for the next week looks good for making ice.

Dean iced over today.  Schmidt has ice about 30 yards out then open water. Been a few years now, Pelican may be snappin' again.

This year started out like last year but starting tonight the temps are nothing like last year. There will probably be vehicles by the 26th. I'm still feeling good about sleds on the 17th.

Cheapest I've found is Proctor Builders.

Last year it was Dec. 26th before they opened the road up out of Morris pt. for 4 wheelers. Thinking its looking like that again this year. Hope I can hold out. Between the ice show and this website getting very fired up.
