Hi Guys, Im getting a new Lowrance 520C and I am wandering if I should get a new through hull transducer puck with it. I currently have some 01 model pinpoints in the boat and they already have the transducer pucks installed in the hull. It sure would save me alot of time and a little cash if I could keep the old ones installed and just buy the 520C with GPS puck and no transducer puck.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? How far has transducer technology come in the last 6 years? Is it really worth replacing the puck?
Let me know what you guys thing and hopefully others will find this helpfull too.
