Questions about teh Big V!

So I'll be on the Big V in a couple of weeks for 1 week. We will be staying in Black Bay. I was wondering what the water clarity is around that part of the lake. I haven't been on Vermilion since I was 16, which would be 11 years ago, but from what I remember the water there was stained looking, but when I check the Secci Disc survey it says it had a clarity of 9'. Which really shocked me. So if anyone knows the answer to my question that would be very helpfull so that I would be able to plan out my attack for the lake! Thanks!

Black Bay doesn't even hit 9 feet, and I can't see my toes in the water if I dangle them off of the dock. Most of the bigger fish tend to move out of Black Bay around early summer but there are plenty of great fishing spots nearby. In Black Bay there is still great pan fishing, crappies, and as of this past weekend plenty of big bullheads.

Black Bay gets a little warm for the big fish come summer. Since temps are already warm many of those fish have already begun moving to deeper parts of the lake.

You'll have no problem finding the fish.

I never seen the lake so clear last spring. I could not believehow deep and what you could see last spring. I would say the clarity was over 9' last year.

I will also say the previous 15 springs, the water had a darker tinge to the water....but you could still see down 5-7 feet.

Thanks for the info guys, I guess I'll just have to wait to get up there and check the water clarity myself!
