Who's Sturgeon fishing this weekend?

2 posts in this topic

I'm gonna be up again this weekend, It's just too tough to pass up this time of year...

So who all is gonna be up fishing and where are you gonna fish? I'm undecided between the river (near CLementson) or the "4 mile bay area"? I will more than likely fish near Wheelers point, but last weekend it seemed the "better" bite was up river a ways, sooooo......

Decisions, Decisions!!! I guess I'll probably catch fish at either location, but I'm bringing my cousin up for his first Sturgeon experience and would really like to see him catch a few fish, big fish!

I have to work till 11:00am, and hope to be on the water by 2:30pm. See you there?

Talk to ya'll later.

I've been twisting arms for a couple of days with no luck, I've been persistent and really want to go but friends just don't seem very interested in the Sturgeonfish!

CML you'll do good no matter which locale you decide on. I was upriver Wednesday with good results and others I know were on the bay this week with good results as well. You could toss a coin I suppose!!!

Weather is sure nice and I'm gonna be a bit stir-crazy today, could go Pike fishing but it'll be a bit too crowded at Warroad, Zbay tourney going on so thats out of the question!

Yardwork today maybe.....Bummer!

Have fun.....fiskyknut

169 overpass (293rd or county 9) north of Zimmerman...take the off ramp and go east (right) to county 19 take a right going south through the S curve and hang a left at the end of S curve on 289th Ave take that about 2 miles to Blue Lake Dr take a right and then take your first left a couple blocks later to the landing.

We're a little over a week away from the 6th annual LCRA Ice Fishing contest on Lake Gervais in Little Canada, MN! Lots of great prizes, over $10,000 in prizes and raffle. Grand prize for fishing is a Marcum flasher, a Clam X200 flip over thermal and an Eskimo auger! Come on out Saturday, February 4th, noon to 3pm. Line up early for a good spot, the tent will open by 9am with beverages (alcohol and non-alcohol), food and raffle tickets. The raffle is the LCRA's winter raffle. $5 tickets, grand prize is a trip to Vegas and $1,000 cash! You don't have to be present to win in the raffle, that will be drawn after the prizes for the fishing contest around 4pm that day.   The Little Canada Recreation Association is a non-profit group that raises money to offset registration fees for youth in the Little Canada, Roseville, Maplewood and Vadnais Heights areas. We also fund scout projects, playground equipment and many types of sports equipment for area teams.   For more information on the LCRA or to register for fishing, go to

So as far as live bait rigging what works best? Shiners? Suckers? Fatheads? As far as this time of year goes.
