My uncle gave me a couple of these flies tonight.Anybody ever use the flies for trout or are they more for salmon?

I love them for trout, one of my favorite flys when the water warms up just a touch (45-48). In the Brule I usually tie a different colored egg trailer off the back and then see which one they want.

Yep, they work well during the steelhead run up on L. Superior. I've actually caught lots of brookies using smaller yarn/eggs on one of the inland WI trout streams. Sorry, I won't tell you which one. wink.gif
