WBL Ramsey launch condition?

4 posts in this topic

How's the public launch condition for a larger boat? Like a Alumicraft DeepV 18 footer? (Well.. large to me anyway!)

Are the docks out yet too?

Put my 17.5 foot dc in on Thursday. It is shallow but manageable. Did it myself. Heard a squeeling sound and wondered if the tranny was going. Forgot to take the emergency brake off... confused.gif First launch of the year grin.gif

No docks out yet on public launch. Went out today & battled the wind, not much doing. We were able to launch the 17 ft alumacraft OK, but plan on wading a little.

Yep. we did just fine on the launch.. although my brothers rear wheel drive pickup could NOT get the boat out. Thanks to the two guys who helped us push! Too steep.. too sandy!

Thanks for the info everyone. And Borch that is good to know too.  I try to spend 2-3 hours looking on cedar each trip, but It's a lot of water to break down , and having only been out hardwater cattin 6 times so far I still have a lot to learn.  Generally I spend a lot of my 3 hours losing confidence and then wind up at the meth hole to catch a few .  Putting in the work is what makes it so fun once it all comes together though!

Friday night until about 9:00 they were aggressive as heck, and jigging worked very well.  It seemed like after that they didn't want much to do with jigging, and the set lines were key.
