Gander EP - Big Scoop???

3 posts in this topic

Someone posted recently and said that the new Gander Mountain in Eden Prairie wanted to be known as the home of the "Big Scoop" for live bait. Whoever said that has a seriously different definition than what I consider a "big scoop" of minnows.....What I got at lunch time today would barely qualify as a half-scoop at any reputable baitshop I would go to...And $ 3.50 per scoop?? Forget it.

Forest Lake is like that too. Although on person gave me what I wanted. He said they dont like over doing it because of the waste. Someone should start a minnow drop off for unused minnows? laugh.gif I would probobly return them. Most of the time I don't have any left because of all the fish I caught!! grin.gif

Return minnows??? Just tell the wife to move the lettuce over a bit and put them next to the milk. Night crawlers and leeches are next to the butter.

Seriously, you can keep them alive for weeks/months. Just get the temperature right and keep the water clean. For Night Crawlers toss a little lettuce or coffee grounds in and a little margarine. Leeches, put them in the worm bedding and get it moist. Don't throw bait away.....except shiners. I cannot keep shiners alive for anything.
