Hey folks-

I'm getting married this June and would like to take my new bride up-north (she hasn't been yet). My gal is a trooper however she enjoys the idea of nature more than the reality. I'm looking for a resort a bit on the posh side, still able to fish and enjoy the scenery, restraunt etc.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Big Sandy Lodge on big sandy lake is awesome. My wife and I were married there last year and your wife will like it. Fishing, resturant, bar, pool, hotub. Its a new resort, lots of fun

Rutgers Lodge, has honey moon suites, fishing, golfing, outdoor pool, tennis and good dining. Would be worth a look. I went to a wedding reception there and it was a blast.

Leech, my experience exactly, I hated the thing! I'm a Mister Twister Piranha guy, it's a little heavier duty than the green ones but never had trouble with the green ones either over the many years I've used them. I can use a filet knife on those rare occasions we do a shore lunch somewhere.

Be cool if there was such a thing. Being people are getting so much more interest in pout it wouldn't be a bad thing I'd say.

I think some people are obligated to keep what they catch. Me I'll keep fish but not very often at least in the winter. (Not on Mille lacs) Mille lacs you have the chance at catching a trophy sure maybe it would be cool to keep it but for a lot of us letting a trophy go is as good as keeping it at least IMHO.
