I was thinking about taking a trip down to the straight during the middle of may to try for some browns. Is this a good time to go, and if it is, would you recommend floating a boat down it?..thanks any info would be appreciated

stretch

i really don't know of a good time to fish the straight cause we just got property on it. but from what i have seen it gets fairly narrow with alot of fallen trees in the river. from what i have heard you can get farther by just wading. good luck
