You will see plenty of posts during open water season. Not many on weekends cause most people are out fishing but plenty during the week.

Good fishing!

Hey Glen,

We stay pretty active here in this forum during the open water season too. Jason Boser usually gives a weekly update on what's happening in the area. A few guys are still making it out ice fishing, but access varies from lake to lake. I'm in my open water transition mode now and will probably be fishing open water gills here in Cohasset by the end of the week. If yer headed up this way during open water it won't hurt to throw a post up to see what's happening.

Brian

My buddy and his dad dropped there front end of there pickup in on lake bemidji Saturday luckley they were able to get out with out harm. After all the rain and warm temps hopefully people learn now to stop driving. If you do go out walk not worth the risk. I'm looking at the forcast and after tonight the lows for nights are in the teens so hopefully things may heal up and I can get out a few more times. It's the middle of February I'm not going to be putting things away yet feels like I just got things out!

We had to ride snowmobiles 30 miles out of the Canadian bush Monday and it was a mess. Filled our Otters with water even with covers strapped on.

From what I am seeing on the Arnesen webcam, there is not much snow left.  Sleds would need scratchers.  Wheelers maybe a better option until we get more snow and there is none in the forecast.

Coming up Thursday morning and planning on making the run to the reefs/islands via snowmobile.  Is there any loose snow left on the trail to keep the sleds cool, or would a 4 wheeler be necessary?  Any information from locals there would be very much appreciated.  Thx.
