Does anybody have any experience with the bottom line fishin buddy 1101? Opinions?

I have one and am ok with it. Mine runs on D batteries and sucks the life out of them fast. I originally bought it to use for ice fishing but don't use much anymore since I purchased a FL-8. I do you it periodically on some of the reservoirs around Rochester when fishing out of my canoe. I guess the only down fall is the battery issue.

I just want one because it would have more detail than the little Zebco hand held one I have. It works great. I want more of a picture than 1 rock, 2 rocks or 3 rocks. The same with the weeds. It only shows 1 size fish also.

Day two was a bit different than day one for us.  Much slower mid day resulting 50 fish for the day.  A couple of 23" being the biggest.    ESE wind caused a different approach Today that challenged me a bit.  As well as the river was VERY BUSY today!   Water conditions appeared to stay fantastic as far as current and clarity,  should be a nice week ahead for those coming up.

Buddy of mine just drove past the Big and Littlefork rivers on hwy11, said ice bank to bank on both. Even saw fresh tracks from snowmobiles on them. So for whatever that's worth guys and gals.

Took the boat out on Cedar Island today.  Water was 39 and crappie were deep.  Large bay at access was iced over but could hug the shore and make it around.  Otherwise it was mostly open.

Tipups we are between Springsteel and Warroad right now. Still driving trucks and wheelhouses out about 24" of ice.
