You can go to corps of engineers site and download pool 2 maps,no charge,no depth maps but they are helpful anyway..I had mine laminated at office max...

Make a hard turn east/northeast around Mile 820 or so. It will take you a couple of miles to get to the bridge and once through, you're in! Watch those first couple of miles though - water is pretty shallow with occasional stumps.

Get the map or go to GoogleEarth and look at it from satellite view.

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
