I've seen it ice fished but not sure what their after. I sometimes go after Carp. The lake is connected to the Phalen chain so it could have just about anything.

I've seen some large carp and pike come out of there. Main population is 4 inch sunfish. It gets thick with milfoil in spring. Kids line up all along the shore through summer to catch the small sunnies though. Need a canoe to get to the deeper water. I've never seen anything other than a 4 inch sunfish come out of the lake in winter. There are plenty of other lakes in the Maplewood/Little Canada neighborhood to try.

      make / manufacturer: Eskimo
model name / number: Mako Upgraded to an electric auger and selling my old one. Runs great and has been well taken care of. Starts on 2-3 pulls every time. I have the extension for it as well as a new set of blades that I bought but haven't needed to change yet. I also have a cabelas auger bag that it fits in.

I scored a set of Striker Hardwaters for 25% off   bibs+coat. I fish early ice alone, decided to pull the trigger on a warm suit that can float if I end up breaking thru.  That crowd was insane. Happy to see the big turnout. All of the TV dudes were roaming around too, talking with ppl and taking pics. Had a great time and I'm happy to see how big the ice fishing community is getting. Just stay away from my holes!!!     jk. Looks like we could be gaining up to an inch of ice/day in metro lakes if this forecast holds.
