My dad was on leech on sunday and tuesday and the lake lost 8" of ice. He also said his auger cut through like butter. (his blades are over five years old and have drilled about 8 holes in the ground.) I say ice will be off fish hook where I live by April 8.

Starting to get antsy for soft water again. I saw it was 2F in Akeley this morning, brr. That can't be helping the open water situation. Any predictions for ice out?

How much snow did the area receive in this last storm?
