It is a Forest Service campground. Try Laurentian Ranger District, 218-229-8800.

There is also a campground on the NW side of the lake. It starts with a W.

Wiebergs is the private campground. If your looking for reservations at the USFS campground you need to do that at reserveusa.

I just ran out to the camper and grabed the camp site sheet they give you when you stay there. The number to reserve sites is 1-877-444-6777 I believe that is the national campgroung service to reserve camp sites all over the country. You will need to know what site you want to reserve however.Good Luck

Plus, resorts would love to have you, now that no one goes to them due to the closing of walleye fishing.

Must of been tough to sit there looking at the lake and not fish! Can't believe it was 60 up there today!? Not what I was hoping for. Didn't hit 50 down by the cities today.

Looking at staying at Thunderbird or Sha Sha resort.  We want to spend some time fishing the Canadian side as well.  How long does it take to get from there to the Canadian Causeway bridge?  I've got a Lund ProV with a 200hp and usually run about half throttle.
