This early in the year I fish Red Wing, jigging very slow, keep bait almost crawling on the bottom. Also look to slow moving water, or areas where fish can get out of the current. Use these few things and your cath rate should be better.

The boat came out today and went to Wilcox first for a hour then to Redwing for a couple of hours. A few saugers and a fun 10lber flathead. The river is just where I like it, into the trees. Saugers were all over 8'-34'.
