Go Ike

Lake Ida

Has anyone had success on lake ida, connected between little and big sand. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are in the lake and how the fish population is.

Go Ike- Ive fished Ida many times over the years and have had some pretty good success. I have slow-trolled Lindys with a crawler off the reedline in by Walters Resort and had a lot of success. I have also had a lot of luck back in the cove trolling crankbaits. Any other thoughts on this very small but wonderful fishery.

I'll never forget the time that I fished in the back cove and saw about 75 3+ pound smallies. They were all sitting in about 15 FOW about two feet from the surface. That was a fun day of fishing. I also like to fish the drop off where the river comes in from big sand

Plus, resorts would love to have you, now that no one goes to them due to the closing of walleye fishing.

Must of been tough to sit there looking at the lake and not fish! Can't believe it was 60 up there today!? Not what I was hoping for. Didn't hit 50 down by the cities today.

Looking at staying at Thunderbird or Sha Sha resort.  We want to spend some time fishing the Canadian side as well.  How long does it take to get from there to the Canadian Causeway bridge?  I've got a Lund ProV with a 200hp and usually run about half throttle.

What amoerage batteries do you have? I finally got my gearbox back from clam this week..... a little to late... I am so glad they used us for product testing and ended up screwing me out of going electric this year, I am selling it early next season and going with the k-drill
