Wadena Fishing League

1 post in this topic

If anyone in the area is interested...The Wadena Fishing League will be having a sign-up night the 27th of March in the basement of the V.F.W. club in Wadena. The meeting will start at 7:00 pm and probably last about an hour. We have primarily fished the lakes in Wadena and Eastern Ottertail County, although we have been as far east as Gull and Alexander, as far north as Fish Hook in Park Rapids, as far west as Star Lake and as far south as Ida. We are in our 17th year of existence and usually have between 10 and 15 teams. We have fished on Tuesday nights starting the Tuesday after the May opener. If anyone is interested be there or contact me through this board.

Thanks.  We sadly have caught bigger but didn't get them on video.  Average size this trip was around that 18.5-19" mark.  We got really excited because a few of them were 21" and the state record is only 20.5 or 20.75" but the state record had a girth of 6+ inches!  that fish had to be THICK!  Was a ton of fun and I can't wait to get them from the smoker on Friday!
