a slab of rotten ice at the base of the ramp is all that stands in the way... heck, an ambitious soul with a good sized chipper could probably break enough of it away to make it work(where'd mine go???) oh well the iceberg will probably break free very soon anyway.

tried throwing crawlers for a while in a few spots along that stretch. didn't catch much but I didn't care one bit- March 13th and I was sitting on the bank, with warm sunshine on my face and a line in the water, 'twas a magic moment. cool.gif

a guy does have to be careful where he steps however- some of that silty mud along the bank can swallow a boot at an alarming rate! wink.gif ( don't ask how I know this, I'll never tell! )

Sounds like a good time. Plus dont' forget to try the outlets. I personaly like to cast a 2" curltail. The whitebass, sheephead, or even carp will take them. Best thing about the river is ya never really know what ya got on the line, until you see it.

Good luck

Fished the discharge near Cedar ave 2 days ago. Didn't get nothing on cut bait or crawlers. There were dead shad everywhere down there. I know they are delicate and die very easy but it seemed kind of strange. There were no other species amongst the dead.
