late march panfish

2 posts in this topic

I'll be making a trip up to the area in a couple of weeks and wondering if a guy should try to find the crappies on Kab this time or year, or concentrate on a few of the smaller lakes in the area. We could bring a couple sleds too and goto Namakan. Thanks in advance for any info!

Jostend,,,, You will have to keep checking this site for info... Crappies on Kab. aren't doing much now.... Also,, with the weather,, there will probably be no snow by late March... We have the warm weather thing here, 50's yesterday, upper 40's today... So you may have to check the smaller lakes,,, Ice is still very thick, Good Luck Fishkab

I was up there about ten days ago and the snow and lake ice were melting fast.
The forecast for the next week looks good for making ice.

Dean iced over today.  Schmidt has ice about 30 yards out then open water. Been a few years now, Pelican may be snappin' again.

This year started out like last year but starting tonight the temps are nothing like last year. There will probably be vehicles by the 26th. I'm still feeling good about sleds on the 17th.

Cheapest I've found is Proctor Builders.

Last year it was Dec. 26th before they opened the road up out of Morris pt. for 4 wheelers. Thinking its looking like that again this year. Hope I can hold out. Between the ice show and this website getting very fired up.
