Perch help

2 posts in this topic

OK, I know I'm asking a lot, but I'd love to try some perch fishing on mille lacs, I'll be up near garrison thies weekend. I've never fished for perch.

I have a wheeler and Clam portable. I guess I'd like to know what type of lures/bait to use, what depth, areas to start, etc.

I prefer to go out of the west side, sounds like twin pines. Maybe a dumb question, but is the public access open for parking? Could I park there and pull my portable from there?

I promise, last question, what time of day is best? Early, mid-day, sunset?

Thanks in advance,

Mac

Early is best for me usually, I'm sure there's parking, but as far as a wheeler goes...

The snow's aweful deep. At least before this warm spell, you might want to find a road near deep water or the North Sand instead.
