You are incorrect sir.

The photo is actually from Feb 2005.

Eh? The "Mansion" on 1st is there, and the shape of the little track on the north side of first matches what was there this year.

Pretty sure it is from early this winter.

The "Mansion" on 1st has been there for a couple of years now. If you look at the photo over by Willow point, you'll notice that the giant house they started building early last fall is not there.

Notice the large oval track on the north side of second lake. That is from the Wilke fishing contest that has not been held for the last two years.

I haven't owned the car that is in my driveway (according to Google Earth) for over two years!

Ah ha, you are correct.

When was the mansion burned down? I thought that was fall of 2005?

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
