Garmin software/memory card

1 post in this topic

I just got a Garmin 60csx handheld. It is my first GPS so I have a couple of questions.

The lakes I fish in MN are usually smaller ones that wouldn't have any contour shown on them in any of software that I know of. So would it be worth getting the LakeMaster software then? I'd prefer to buy something that would have lakes(some with contour) and roads for the whole U.S. I don't want to really have to spend money on a few different packages. Does anyone know anything about the MapSource Inland Lakes software? Also is it better to get the DVD that you can put on your computer or memory cards that have the info loaded on it already? Also, will I need to get a bigger microSD card? How much does the stock card(I think 64mb) hold? Thanks

I like to sacrifice larger shiners just for their scales.  Ill take my thumb nail and work em off in the hole and a big cloud of scales slowly make their way down.  Ive never been a fan of a pile of dead minnows under my hole.

Fished today from 23ft-33ft. Moved 8 times. 3 guys. 2 fish. Thus far.... Case anyone else who prefers an honest report cares to hear one.   75+yrs experience with 40+ on this lake during winter. For whatever its worth.

You might be able to get away with one and half minnows at a time, but no more.... lol

My experiences would suggest, R&D  resort on Straight Lake and Eagles landing on 5th crow wing.
