Tips for the kids, or tips for fishing? For the kids I would certainly bring along some things of interest to keep them occuppied, games, snacks etc. You don't mention the ages, or wether you are staying in a hard side house or portables. could make a difference. Bill

Thanks for the reminder about keeping them busy. Ages are 12 and 14 and we are doing portables.

Lenny: they should have apretty good interest in fishing at their ages, no like 4-5 yr olds. A few snacks and some sodas for the slow times and they should have a good time. Good luck, enjoy and hang on. Bill

Most of our fish came on minnows under bobbers. I spooked countless fish with even subtle jigging.

I never made it out Monday was too tired from fishing Friday - sunday didn't feel like getting up early

Hey, Here a quick update on actual ice thickness or snow cover on trout. 14 inchs of ice pressure ridge out there. if you are  on a snowmobile if traveling fast on it watch for it. Truck or car i do not recommend on trout with pressure ridge. And yes i have been on the whitefish chain this year in truck. just not on trout. just my 2 cents
