Long Point - 2.26-2.27

1 post in this topic

Just got back from LP and here's the report.

28FOW, East from T road markers. Hot lures were green glow rattlin hooker, red glow lunar grub, followed by gold/red glow buckshots (smaller the better). Emerald shiners on the deadsticks and heads on the buckshots. Deadsticks 4" off the bottom. Buckshots pulled fish off the bottom and scored on some the suspended ones coming 5ft off the bottom. 4 lines produced 1 sauger and 1 walleye short of a 2 day limit. We returned over 20 fish, keeping 14" +. Most were 15-17". 2 19" and 1 25" eyes.

Noteworthy comments; we arrived post storm and wrapped up with the next storm forming and moving in. Traffic on the lake was Very minimal. We supercharged the glow lures with a large camera flash. We talked with our neighbors who were all in 30+FOW and did not experience the success we had.

This was one of our most successful outings to LOW.

Hats off to the Long Point crew for cutting us a path to get our spot! laugh.gif

The forum has do much more than fishing reports, hot bites, etc.  There's been more general and specific fishing  techniques, information and connecting with each other that has happened  here.     I can get hot bite information in a lot of places.  In fact many hot bites never do up on these forums.  Sounds like you've got a lot of information in a lot of places.   That's great!  Many of us have done the same thing.     Many of us have got together on the ice, in the woods or on the water because of.this forum.  That's what I've always enjoyed the most.     Hope to be able to keep doing that for a long time.

Correct.  You can throw him a buck or two to keep the road graded and all is good.  At least that's my understanding.
