The walleye fishing has been very good this winter on Vermilion.

The walleye season closed on Feb., 25.

Skip Pratt has a couple of sleeper rentals that he has been renting out the past few years.

Castindad,

Most people just use a minnow trap baited with any type of raw meat. Just throw it into an area that is rocky and there is enough water to cover the trap and leave it out overnight.

Remember, you need to have your name & address or your MN. DNR # on a tag attached to the trap!!

The DNR# is the number that is on any minnesota Lic. that you purchase.

Has anyone tried out the polar bird hub houses? The floor looks like a neat concept I wonder how well it works. Looking for a small 2 man hub so I don't have to drag my huge heavy 6 man thermal hub when I go alone.

I don't care if dnr checks me multiple times a day or I have to prove that I am not doing anything wrong. That is how they catch the guys who are doing stuff wrong. I am always legal so What do I care I have been checked what like 5-6 times in my life so far even if every time they were a bad_boy ( they were not ) who cares I have to deal with them 10-15 mins out of my day? Think about how many pricks they have to deal with every day.
