Ice is in great shape out to the Meth Hole, but I am a little concerned with the snow depth. It sounds like another 6 inches later this week. Right now I would say vehicle traffic would be fine but not sure if we get another 6. I have been working alot of hours but I will try to get out there the next few days and see what's going on

Thanks Icehawk for posting today about the ice thickness. I put a similar post in the Cool Cat's link, asking if you could let people know the conditions of the snow and ice.

Maybe a report should wait in case the next storm does hit?!?

Looking forward to hearing from you and utimately seeing you Saturday grin.gif

I was our there yesterday, and the snow is deep. mad.gif

The fishing was slow too, one 2# cat and four small crappies.

If we get another 6-12" or more, it will be a real mess out there.

Someone will need to plow a road for sure, or it will be limited to snowmobiles only.

Skeets- You are totally right. I just got back form the meth hole and she is a little tough out there. Put the chevy through a test that's for sure!! If we get any more snow it will definately be sleds only! frown.gif

Latest report for this area according to WJON radio is a Winter Storm Warnging. With predictions running from 8-16 inches of snow.

It doesn't look good for my group this weekend. We all sold our sleds and bought atvs. frown.gif

Please post if someone is planning on plowing a road.

Thanks

Yeah next week looks good for getting out. Hopefully the snow totals stay on the low side but at least its gonna be the light powder variety.

Thanks guys.  So just to recap so far, Nils and KDrill require adapters, which add $30 or so, but you can use them w/out the drill plate if you want to.  How about Strikemasters do they need an adapter?     Also, just wondering if there is any legit reason to pay $100 more for the K Drill over the Nils?  Seems to me they are about the same weight (ballpark) and both cut pretty fast.     Thanks again for the info fellas!!
