Snail Lake

3 posts in this topic

I fished the south basin of Snail lake today. This is the first time I have fished the lake since last summer. I caught several potato chip sized bluegill, all with a sever case of black worms. I fished 22, 18, and 7 FOW all the same story. I didnt see any pike or bass which I have seen on the north hole and I catch some nice ones in the summer. Just an update for all of you Metro anglers. I wish they knew how to clean up those black worms. Later - Andy

I fished Snail once this winter. It was non stop for chip sized bluegills like you said. I caught one poor little guy that was so infested with black grub that the fish itself was almost entirely black in color. I've never seen one quite like that. confused.gif
