Break -ins

3 posts in this topic

I received a call this morning from my brother that our brother-in laws fish house was broke into last night. They went through the window in the door after not being able to break the door in. From their house all their fishing poles, tackle, full minnow bucket, and I believe their flashers were also taken. Everything else was still there. I have used this house before and that window is very small. The a-hole that did this is very skinny. A number of other houses were broke into as well. The sherrif said that there has been alot of this happening this winter. I'm not sure what was taken from the other houses. This happened at South Shore out from the Warroad access. If you have a house in that area you may want to make the trip out and see if you were one of the lucky ones.

Just hope those bad guys get caught in the act by some of the good guys, & I don't mean the sheriff!

Had 2 of my houses broke into a couple of years ago over Pine Island. They just tore the doors off. Finally stopped leaving anything of value and not locking the doors. So far so good. Have seen tracks up to them but nothing bothered.

I've wondered about those exploding dye packets that the banks use in robberies.....talk about egg on you face.

One placed in the tackle box ought to do.

Nice thats what I like to hear, was doing an annual trip to LOW with my buddies, but to be quite honest biggest fish I ever saw in 10 plus trips was 27 inches, I caught 3 bigger than that on the pond last year, and hey I can stay in Wright county where I live and catch 10 inch walleyes.. I don't make it up to that end of the lake ever, usually fish the south end..Bought a wheel house this year, would loke to set it up as base camp and hopefully be able to head up toward that end and do some exploring..And thanks for the input, thinking there is a lot of readers and not many writers on this site nowadays...

Lake Marion is completely iced over. Hopefully we won't get much snow and be fishing soon.

Silver lake in New Brighton is iced over. I'm going to count one week before checking thickness on my early ice spots. Could be fishing next Friday if all goes well.
