sleeper houses

2 posts in this topic

Looking at going up Monday the26 - Wednesday the 28th -- Any suggestions on where to stay?

I have called a number of places but no call backs yet.

We have heard good things about Kelly and we stayed at Hillman's two years ago -- We met a guy on the l;ake with a plow truck, I think. My Hillman experience was good. The nice older gal in the store said to buy the glow red jigs and one guy laughed at her but I said thanks and bought them I had 8 crappies before by buddy broke down and asked for one of mine.

BTW -- will the weather turn the fish on?

Any thoughts

Check out Chad Benson, I just stayed with him this past weekend. He said that his weekends are booked but his week days are pretty open. We had great service and caught fish!!! Really nice houses as well.

The only reason they allow you to have a gun while archery hunting deer is if you have a ccw. They did this because if they didn't it would impede on your rights to carry.   Thank you for contacting the Minnesota DNR.   You are correct, your friend is not. Even having both licenses, a person can't have both weapons with them at the same time. That person would need to choose which weapon and license to use, can’t do both hunts with both weapons at the same time.   Please feel free to contact us if you have further questions either by email or by calling 888-646-6367 M-F 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

I have caught them on Vermilion when the mayflies are hatching in the evening by using a fly rod with small poppers or may fly type dry flies. Just cast to the surfacing fish. A spinning rod with an Adjusta Float with poppers or flies may work even better. Cliff

I have also wondered why there are no Sauger in Vermilion. I have never caught one there or heard of one being caught by anyone else. Cliff
