Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Favorite Ice Fishing Snack

Recommended Posts

Tyler Holm

What's your favorite ice fishing snack? I always drop into a gas station and walk around for several minutes trying to find a great snack for the ice shack. Wondering what you grab???

My favorite so far is Combos (Chedder & Cracker). Of course RugbyGuys deer sticks are right up there as well.

Kinda spendy for the amount you get, but I like the good (well good for a convenience store) beef jerkey nuggets in the red bag. There close to $5 though... shocked.gif

Something warm is always nice to have on the ice. If you have one of the Mr. Heaters that you can cook on this snack works out great and its easy. One package of cocktail winnies and a couple packets of Famous Dave's Devil Spit BBQ sauce. Heat and eat, it does't get much better. If its something out of the gas station I'm a Combos man as well.

if you can find the pizza cracker combo then i'm done. Sour cream and onion pringels. Add a little northern slime from your hands and you got a real treat. tongue.gif

Funyons, Beef Jerky, A thermos of fresh hot coffee, Venison Sticks. And either a can of Chili or Chunky always heats well on the Mr. Heater.

use caution on the lakes in southern mn  there is a lot of lakes that have one or 2 spots of open water.  with that said where ive fished there has been a solid 5-6 inches as of yesterday  clear, cedar.cannon, elysian, circle.  i would use a spud bar to check if your going where people havent gone yet.

Gotta tell ya. I've been doing a lot of thinking about those dusk into the evening crappie bites under the ice lately.

Please stay off blue it is not good ice! Baxter is the only lake I walked but there is a bad spot out and to the left of the access. Where don’t find it. Stay east on Baxter the west is bad

Call search and rescue cause someone will go in on blue! It’s bad news out there. Baxter is the only lake around you would catch me on and just stay to away from the west side of the lake.
