Where the Rum enters the Ol' Mis...

1 post in this topic

Just curious if anyone's fished the Mississippi by the Anoka - Champlin bridge? I've been told that it is more of a smallie area then anything, but I cant give up on the fact that the Mississippi holds tons of walleyes so I target them... I'm down at school so I cant get out there and fish but I sent a couple buddies there yesterday for me and they picked up a 17 inch walleye right near where the Rum poors into the Mississippi! I was very excited, earlier this month I got out there and got 5 smallies, a small northern and a little 11 inch walleye.. Just curious if anyone else has had success in that area for the elusive walter??
