Sartell

5 posts in this topic

I fish a lot around Little Fall's, but I am wondering where the launch is at Sartell. Been wanting to try that area for a while. Is that an area that is fishable late in the year. Any info would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Thanks.

there are actually 2 different landings available.

1. about 1 mile north of the paper mill on the east side of the river. (must cross railroad tracks)

2. on the west side of the river north of Sartell about 4 miles/ OR go across the bridge west of Rice and stay to the left towards Sartell (about 2 miles) until you see a large sign for Mississippi River Park.

The one on the East side is a much better landing, too (there's no dock at the county park launch).

Thanks guy's, I love fishing the river, just want to try something different. I have noticed post's that the river had been lowered, 3 feet I beleive. Do you happen to know what section's of the river that affect's.

I'll stand behind Steve's ice rods!   I was able to get a nice collection of them last week.  Some panfish rods that I hope to work out tomorrow, and some walleye/laker types that I used today.  Great feel, light, and well built.       I connected with a couple mid-20 inch lakers today and couldn't have enjoyed the fight any better on another rod.  Very happy!   Thanks Steve!
