Minnesota Fishing Report Clubs - ONLY 20 FREE MEMBERSHIPS Per Area - Join Today - FREE   03/08/2018

Fishing Minnesota has added a new menu item (see above) called Fishing Report Clubs. It's a way to keep the really good fishing reports coming and being shared only with those who also provide detailed fishing reports. We will only approve new members who request to join if they have already posted a recent fishing report in the area forum, associated with the Fishing Report Club area  you want to join. Initially we are going to limit the number of regular memberships, in the Fishing Report Clubs, to the top 20 members in each Club, to those with the best frequency and quality fishing reports provided in the club and less so in the regular fishing report forum open to all members. The higher quality fishing report reserved for the club of course. If  you want see detailed fishing reports/tips  around your area and will share your detailed fishing report as soon as you join, then Join Now! Some of the clubs are starting to fill fast. Use the Fishing Reports Club link in the Menu above (after you've posted a fishing report in the regular area forum) and request to Join.

Day Bite?

Recommended Posts

I have spent the past two weekends perch jerkin and there is nothing better than non stop jumbos when they're running. Heading up early Saturday morning with my dad who is making the trip from SD and hoping to show him that Mille Lacs is just as good as Waubay and other NE SD lakes. Any chance of getting some eyes during the day drifting spinners or rigs on the SE corner of the lake? I have had great luck on gravel/rock bars such as graveyard and sloppy joes all summer, but haven't fished for walleyes since the end of july. May try cranking at night if the wind is down as my GPS is in the repair shop and was a little nervous last Saturday.

Thanks for the help

Team Otter

Slip bobber fishing with leeches or minnows on the rock reefs has been productive during the day.

If anyone gets out this weekend on the East Side,(Fischer's, Agate bay) ,please get back to me Mon. I plan on heading up next week a couple of times. One trip for the day bite, and one for the night bite.

There is open water almost up to the 23 bridge as of yesterday.

On Horseshoe the icw is in great shape.   Snow pack is mostly melted and frozen.   Any 2wd vehicle can move around easily.   Don

Grundy, I have the Navionics  lake app on my phone and it works great! I have also seen the OnX  phone app in action and it is very helpful! I ordered the chip for my hand held G.P.S. from Garmin on line. Not sure what the cost was. Cliff

I am sure that would be interesting...

If you have a smartphone you can download the OnX  hunting app. Gives all landowner names and land boundries. Also gives all state land, wildlife refuges etc. There is also a Navonics  app for downloading to a smartphone. It gives all the lake contours for fishing. These apps cost a little but you don't need to buy a gps or a chip for the gps. A lot cheaper IMO and you don't have to carry around another gadget.

We've used it on a 19' ProV side by side with our friends Ranger. It holds the Ranger way better since it is a bit heavier, sits lower in the water catching less wind. Same model motors.

Cliff, where did you get that and what was the cost? That would come in pretty handy for hunting spots and talking with land owners.

I love a box call for windy days but like Chris said rack call h as it's place.  Even changing strikers can make a difference.

I bought the Garmin hunt/view map for my hand held GPS. It shows the property lines and property owners. It seems to be fairly accurate in the areas that I have used it on. You will have to check to see what area you will need to get it for. Personally, I paid the $700 to have one of my property corner pins surveyed. You then have a legitimate and legal starting point to start from.  Cliff
