Brian Jones is on the Muskies!

Brian,

Fall is prime musky time on Cass Lake and I hear that you're on the fish. People better hurry to book their trips with you for the rest of this fall before word gets out and your openings get filled!

Ahhhh! Nice fish Jones! I figured when we left on Sunday and the winds had shifted and temps had dropped that the fishing was bound to pick up! Never thought I'd say we were there a week or two early the first week of October! Just luck I guess. Nice to see you at BoTL anyhow!

What is that fattie? 47 inches? Awesome fish.

By the way, Mark, 45.5" on that one. Brian's putting way too many big fish in the boat. He said that one was skinny. He even said something like it's the skinniest one he's seen in awhile! Think of the pigs people must be catching in his boat this year!!!

For details fished 18 to 21 feet of water away from the city on ice. The bait that the fish preferred was again the smallest pug bug with black maki mino or white. Red, watermelon, shiner, and pink did not work. The snitch was able to detect the lightest bites as my dad was use a blue ice noodle and was not having any luck. Once I got my dad to switch to one my meat rigs it was game on. He was using a older st. croix legend with white custom jigs spins 3mm tungsten jig. He was adding a waxworm and caught a few fish but I was still out fishing him 10 to 1 or more. I did get 8 gills over 9 inches which was great to see for this lake.
