Anyone want a fishing partner

3 posts in this topic

Hello, my boat is out of commision for the year. I was really excited to use my first boat for the fall bite and don't have it to use. I had surgery a couple of weeks ago and am out of work for two more weeks. The doctor doesn't care if I'm resting at home or on a boat so............. Does anyone out there have an open spot for someone to tag along. I will help pay gas, bait, etc. My truck has a two inch ball and a pass to get into any Washington county or Anoka county park if that's any help. I know a great lake about a little over an hour from the cities with nice sized pannies. I will fish for anything, I just love to be on the water. I have never fished for Musky but would love to learn. I live in St. Paul and an open to fishing anywhere. I am open to any time since I'm off work. You can email me at s_e_hendricks@comcast.net.

Agreed.  One thing that drew me too lakers was their mysterious nature and the places they live.  Kind of a sacred type of fish.   I also agree the DNR will basically ignore any additional specialized management until an organized group starts advocating for lakers.  There just hasn't been a large enough following up till the past few years like you mentioned.   So, what's next?  It seems like laker fans are here to stay.

How are folks dealing with this warm weather spell? Are you still fishing even though the temps are well above freezing? At what point is ice deemed unsafe?

Well it looks like Recycled Fish is under new leadership! I talked to them and they say that they will have the shirts back for the 2017/2018 fishing season

That's what I have been reading after more research I will probably replace my thermal with one when the time comes but for now I am looking for a smaller lighter house I can use when by myself. Better than canvas craft is saying something!
