Lake Winona

5 posts in this topic

What a great weekend to take the kids fishing. I took my 7 year old son and 5 year old daughter to Lake Winona and did they have a blast. They fished for about two hours and ended up with 19 sunnies over 8" with 4 of them going 9-10 inches. My daughter also landed one dandy crappy. The excitement was worth the trip over from Eyota.

We topped it all off with lunch at the DQ, and Fish and fries for supper.

Nope, it is outside the tracks which means its under the same regulations as all other inland waters.

I remember when I first moved to MN I went down to the dam with a buncha angleworms. Coudnt keep the smallies off. LOL

Very weird. Those little worms in the garden do catch more than little 2-4 sunfish.

Strange indeed... Try looking for much more slack water compared to the beech you were yesterday and today. The West side of the dam was on fire this afternoon; a friend and I were in the double digits within an hour.

I just signed the petition "Robbinsdale Armstrong High School Athletic Director: Allow Trap/Skeet Participants to Earn a Chenille Letter." and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name.

Our goal is to reach 500 signatures and we need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:
