fishing near prescott

Help anyone... I live in Hastings and have never put my boat on to the SC... I usually fish with my wife and like to catch about any eating type fish. We would like to try sunday 1/10 but have no clue as to place to put in, depth, crank vs live etc... not looking for big fish, but would like to have enough to have a meal. any suggestions as to navigating on the SC would also be helpful as would prefer not to bust the lower unit or hang up. I do have a good gps with the premium north chip to show a good river plot, just not sure how accurate it is.

Gills/smallies/eyes/craps all work for us.

Thanks

Bitz

I bet you got a great deal on it this time of year.  I absolutely love my 8" ION as it has a nice enough size hole when using ice house, also, very light weight when drilling multiple holes.  Love the reverse!  Really makes the experience more fun and not so tired as i was using strike master before and i needed to sit down after drilling 4 holes.  When and if you get to use it.  let us know what you think.   Congrats!   Bob
