Mauer still on pace for batting title

6 posts in this topic

Mauer currently leading the AL and MLB in batting average at .350, second is Robinson Cano at .343, followed by Jeter at .340. Let's hope he can hold these guys off!

Mauer may only play in three more games.

Jeter is out of it......it would be crime if Cano catches him.......

That was the same thought in my mind when I was looking at the statistics. I don't see that happening though.

I think Dick and Bert mentioned the other night that Joe would probably sit out either tomorrow night's game or the Saturday morning game. So he doesn't have many starts left. With the number of ABs he has, he would need to go through quite a slump to drop 7 points on his average. Not impossible, but I don't think it is probable.

The problem is Cano with his limited at bats he can raise his average quickly.

I'll stand behind Steve's ice rods!   I was able to get a nice collection of them last week.  Some panfish rods that I hope to work out tomorrow, and some walleye/laker types that I used today.  Great feel, light, and well built.       I connected with a couple mid-20 inch lakers today and couldn't have enjoyed the fight any better on another rod.  Very happy!   Thanks Steve!
