what kind of line knot do you use to tie your lure/hook???

Lately i've been fishing in the dark or night time and have been finding that an improved clinch knot works best. It easy and quick when changing a lure.

Otherwise I usually will use the palomar knot...

For me it depends on the lure I am tieing on to.. Most often its a Palomar knot.. but I tie snell knots, and improved clinch knots as well.

Hooks/Jigs = Palomar; everything else gets an improved clinch knot.

Try the uni-knot, instructions are on the in-fisherman web site. It works well with mono (all strengths from 2lb. test and up) or the super lines, you can even snell a hook with the same knot. Versatile and easy to tie, I like it much better than the improved clinch knot.

I'll stand behind Steve's ice rods!   I was able to get a nice collection of them last week.  Some panfish rods that I hope to work out tomorrow, and some walleye/laker types that I used today.  Great feel, light, and well built.       I connected with a couple mid-20 inch lakers today and couldn't have enjoyed the fight any better on another rod.  Very happy!   Thanks Steve!
