Thats terrible. Me and a couple friends capsized about 15 years ago, we were lucky and got picked up right away by somebody who seen it happen from shore. Makes you realize how vulnerable a person is and just how wicked that lake can get.

I saw that on the news last night. Our Prayers and thoughts go out to the entire family. Please everyone, with rough water, please wear life vests/jackets!!

Tragic. I wonder what happened? According to the report, his boat was anchored. It was a 27 foot boat, which should be pretty seaworthy. I wonder if he fell off in big waves? That is always my biggest worry if I am fishing by myself.

I will pray for him and his family.

Plus, resorts would love to have you, now that no one goes to them due to the closing of walleye fishing.

Must of been tough to sit there looking at the lake and not fish! Can't believe it was 60 up there today!? Not what I was hoping for. Didn't hit 50 down by the cities today.

Looking at staying at Thunderbird or Sha Sha resort.  We want to spend some time fishing the Canadian side as well.  How long does it take to get from there to the Canadian Causeway bridge?  I've got a Lund ProV with a 200hp and usually run about half throttle.
