Morneau for MVP.....voting

11 posts in this topic

Could you imagine how much of a "done deal" this would be if the cities were reversed? Put Morneau in New York and it's all over. Put Jeter in Minnesota: how could you try to campaign for a small market "average/not power" hitting shortstop to win the MVP?

Just had another thought: Think Morneau would have a few more HRs if he played in Yankee stadium with that short porch in right? Metrodome isn't so bad either, but what is that place 312 down the line?

Hats off to Justin and all the guys!

It's not only the homer thing. It's the way he contributed to his team making the playoffs.

His contribution was huge by comparison to say Jeter or the big hurt. But, what the heck do I know, look at my disgusting avitar.

Is your avitar looking in the mirror. I seen my dog do that once. As for putting a Packer avitar up man that has to hurt.

Cj-

exactly!!!! Justin would be the run away MVP if he played for the Yanks. Some shortstop that wins a few championship in the midwest--- who cares!!!

But what matters is the Justin and the Twins show up agst the Yanks if that's who they play. The Twins can't send a louder message if the beat the Yanks in the first round.

GO TWINS!!!!!!

I hope Jeter wins MVP so that they dont have to pay Morneau that much more.

I saw an online poll on FoxSports the other day and they didn't even list Morneau as an option for MVP. The options were Jeter, Ortiz, and Dye. They left him off completely and of course Jeter had over 50% of the votes.

Thanks for the heads up as I  grouse that area and my dog is very young. I know I will be carrying my 40 cal when I go up grouse hunting.

    • Perhaps immature eagles?  I don't believe they get their white head until 4-5 years of age..

    • I second the Vermilion Club-great food and they always welcome the dog (black lab) on the deck and give her water. We have been over on major holidays (July 4th, Memorial day, etc) and can always squeeze in somewhere and if not, there's "the kid" who charges $10 for "their dock".....love the place!

    • You are right, it's a grouse.

I am not a hunter and I live in southern Minnesota, so I don't know how to identify this bird.  It walked into our campsite at Tettegoche State Park last week.  I am thinking a grouse?

I don't have much to report, as I have not been fishing much lately, but wanted to add a topic on our quiet forum.

I finally got a chance to go out on Mazaska this past weekend.  I tried my usual methods with almost no luck.  Fatheads on a jig and under a slip bobber.  From 9 feet down to about 25 feet.  I had a couple of bites, but that was it.

Water temperature was still a balmy 68 degrees and a stiff wind was coming out of the southeast.  Even though I caught nothing, it was a beautiful day to be on the water last Saturday.

One day closer to hard water season ...
